Farzanegan Great Decisions' Starts February 6 Dr. Bahram Farzanegan, executive director of the World Affairs Council of Western N.C., says he expects the "Great Decisions" scries which starts at the Polk County Campus of I.C.C. on Feb. 6 to be one of the best ever. Dr. Farzanegan was the speaker on Jan. 27 at the monthly meeting of the AAUW in Tryon. He indicated that the break up of the Soviet Union, the volatile situation in the Middle East, our relations with Japan, and the fact that 1992 is a presidential election year all contribute to increased interest in the "Great Decisions" series this year. "Great Decisions 1992: A Series on World Affairs," is sponsored by The World Affairs Council of Western N.C. in cooperation with the University of N.C. at Asheville (Continued On Back Page) 16 Pages Today 2(1? Communication Dear Jeff: Ever since my visit to Tryon a year ago, I have been thinking seriously of moving there when I retire this year. I first read of your community in a business publication, and was pleased to see that it mentioned a "swim ming club". Inasmuch as that is the only exercise my arthritic condition will tolerate to any great extent, I was disappointed to find out when I visited Tryon that the "club" was filled and a long waiting list existed. Because of that, I must admit I am now haying second thoughts about moving to your commu nity. Inasmuch as most senior citi zens sutler irom some kind of arthritis and swimming is the most desirable form of exercise J C0nd J» ,0n . > is too bad hasn ' 1 made son 'e effort to accommodate the older residents, if that is what Tryon wants.
